Plans for Douglas Avenue project move forward
Dunedin developer and resident Joe Kokolakis plans to build 65 apartments, 11,700 square feet of retail space and a 195-space parking garage at 940 and 966 Douglas Avenue.
Michael Bryant, whose patrons often use many parking spaces on the city-leased lot on Kokolakis’ property, told city commissioners Feb. 4 that the parking garage is needed to accommodate growth and that Kokolakis has a proven track record as a developer.
“He is going to give us parking underneath when he does the development above. It’s a win-win deal,” Bryant said.
